How much does the race cost?

Will there be race day registration?
No, this race is capped at 1100 runners, and registration will end when that cap is reached. This race has sold out every year and we expect it to sell out again this year.
What do I get for my registration fee?
All participants receive a techwick t-shirt, free unlimited race photo downloads, awesome post race food and refreshments, and a race goody bag.
Unlimited race photo downloads?
That's right! All registered athletes will have full access to unlimited free full resolution downloads of images taken by a team of hand-picked professional photographers on race day. Nuvision Action Image is the official photographer for the Wallis Sands Half Marathon.
Is the women's t-shirt cut differently for women?
Yes! The women's shirts are fitted for a woman's frame and the sizes do run a little small, so you might consider going up a size. If your shirt doesn't fit, you can exchange it for one that does.
Can I push a stroller or bring my dog?
Strollers are ok, (but please run in the back of your pack), but dogs are not allowed on the course (sorry!).
Can I run with headphones?
We recommend that you do not wear headphones during the race so you can hear those around you while running, but we do not prohibit them.
What are the age group category divisions?
The race divisions are broken up into 5 year age group categories from Under 19 years old to 75 years old.
Do any of the race proceeds go to charity?
Yes! We donate a portion of the race proceeds to local non-profit organizations who will be running each of the water stations along the course. Each organization will deck out their water station, keep you hydrated and cheer you on in your quest for the finish! At the end of the race, each athlete will vote for their favorite water station along the route, and the winning non-profit will win an additional donation amount!

Where can I park for the race?
Good Harbor has a large parking lot, but it may fill up close to race time. If the lot is full, you may have to park on the street east of the beach. Please make sure you arrive in time to park and pick up your packet well before the race starts. If you're a spectator, you can park anywhere along the route on the side of the road--the road will not be closed to traffic. Please make sure to follow posted street parking signs--if you park on a street that says "No Parking" you may be towed.
Do all participants get medals?
No, medals will only be given to the top 3 male and female winners overall, the top 3 male and female winners in each 5 year age category, and the top 3 Athena (165+ lbs) and Clydesdale (220+ lbs) categories. The walking division is a non-competitive division and will also not be awarded medals. Medals are not given to everyone who crosses the finish line.
I didn't pick up my medal after the race, can you mail it to me?
No. You must pick up your medal at the race--no medals will be mailed or saved for you to pick up later.
I plan on walking and jogging the course, can I go in the walker division?
No, the walking division is strictly for people who will be walking the entire course. You should not go with the walkers if you plan on jogging or running at any time.
Can I get a refund if I registered but can't run?
No, All registrations are non-refundable. However, if you are injured or can't do the race, you can transfer your registration to someone else. Email Steph steph@pursuitventuresinc.com if you need to transfer your registration to someone else. Please Note: The last day to cancel from the race and still receive a credit toward a future race is two weeks before the race, midnight on April 21st. After this date, you cannot cancel and receive a discount code or transfer to someone else. If you can't make it to the race, you forfeit your spot.
What if there is a torrential hurricane on race day?
There is no rain date for this race. Race management reserves the right to modify, shorten, or cancel the race in the case of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances that make the race unsafe.
